POSITION DETAILS:  This Project engineer will be based in Sacramento. Will be required to lead and participate in the design and delivery of conventional to complex road and highway transportation projects. Responsibilities will include roadway geometric design, grading design, report writing, development of plans, specifications and estimates. As a key project lead, will direct team members’ work, develop and mentor junior staff; and provide technical and quality guidance. Will have client interface and participate in various business development activities.

Basic qualifications:  BS in an engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years experience working on roadway/highway/bridge design projects. 3 years experience working on Caltrans projects utilizing PSR or PS&E. 3 years experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD. PE license required. 

Preferred qualifications:  5 to 9 years of proven track record in roadway and highway design; Ability to mentor and review the work of junior staff; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Team player & self starter
