12th Annual Sacramento ASCE Charity Golf Tournament

Our 12th Annual Make-A-Wish benefit.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you, your co-workers, and your guests to the 12th Annual ASCE Charity Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held Monday, July 12, 2009, at Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln. We hope that everyone is as excited about the new venue as we are, and will once again come out to support this worthy cause.

This half-day event includes lunch, a scramble format tournament on the beautiful North Course, and dinner. It’s a great opportunity to golf,  meet others in the engineering and construction community, and support the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

As in previous years, the net proceeds will go to support the local chapter of Make-A-Wish (www.makeawish-sacto.org), granting wishes for local children between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 with life threatening medical conditions.

We ask that you continue the tradition of the tournament by showing your support in the following ways (both provide a full tax deduction):

  • Become a hole sponsor ($350) – We’ll display your company’s logo on a sign at a course tee box, at the registration table, and on tournament instructions. Your firm will also be acknowledged at dinner and in the ASCE monthly newsletter.
  • Donate raffle prizes or money for Make-A-Wish – We’ll display your company’s logo on the tournament instructions, and acknowledge your company during the raffle and in the ASCE monthly newsletter. Raffle prizes have ranged from gift cards to merchandise.
  • Become an event sponsor – As an event sponsor, you have the opportunity to sponsor the lunch, appetizers on the course, the hole-in-one insurance, or the after-tournament dinner. Sponsoring a portion of the event will greatly increase the donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, along with increasing your company’s exposure in the engineering community. Please contact us if you are interested in this type of sponsorship.

Finally, we encourage you to come out and be an active participant in the tournament. We are excited about the new location for the event. Catta Verdera (formerly Twelve Bridges Golf Club) is a private course, usually open only to members. For information regarding the ASCE-YMF golf tournament, and future sponsorship opportunities, please contact golf tournament chair, James Pangburn (Ph: 916-381-9100) or Co-Chair Ashley Orsaba (Ph:916-783-6890).
