Ever wondered where the design flows for a project came from? For

the "100-year" flow? This is your opportunity to find out. Our guest speaker
will be our current YMF treasurer Bill Scharffenberg. For many years now
Bill has been working at the Hydrologic Engineering Center, a division of
the US Army Corps of Engineers, which develops hydrologic and hydraulic
software used throughout the country and internationally. Bill serves as the
project manager for computer program HEC-HMS. He will discuss the type of
questions the program can answer, why the questions need to be answered, and
how they are answered. This is a great opportunity to see and learn about
the latest watershed analysis tools straight from the developer!
